How to Start
Finding "the truth" seems to be a monumental challenge. Rumors, misinformation, etc. have been a fact of history since the death of Jesus--and maybe before. It would stand to reason then that finding the truth about the most significant person in his life and ministry may be equally as difficult--if not more so.
I recently read a novel by Katherine McGowan where the assertion is made that the Cathars of southern France were the recipients of the knowledge of "the way" and that Mary's gospel and story and even possibly one written by Jesus himself were buried there. Does anyone know the source of this or have any more information?
My sense is that the real path will only be found by those is Christ conciousness--not just believers, but those living "the way" and those seeing the world in that way.
Not sure if this makes sense. I just wanted to see what kind of discussion might start.

Hey Mark,
I will have to read that novel, it sounds very interesting. I wonder if there would be a way to get Ktherine McGowan, the author, to join our discussion and comment and/or share insights. While I have not read the novel, I have heard of the Cathars in France and how they were eliminated (butchered) by the church because of their beliefs. I understand they also had women priests, and it would be my observation that this one of the reasons the male dominated church killed them all.
Wouldn't it be terrific if something survived from their culture? Something to reveal the basis of their faith? It makes acurate history dificult, if not impossible, when only one side of the story survives to tell others and pass it on. There are always two side of an arguement, and just because one side is bigger and stronger, does not always make that side correct.
